Our school has been in operation for a year and due to our success, we now have the opportunity to move into a different, larger building
To enable us to do this, we need funds - a regular income to pay for rent, food supplies and utilities
We currently have thirty children in regular attendance who benefit from learning Spanish, French and English taught by three teachers and a volunteer

Bella Vista School Project
The Bella Vista School Project originated through the 7th Day Adventist Church and its Pastor, and funded by Canadian, Paul W. Jones. Presently, the Adventist Church is not involved as much and the school is funded by independent patrons and donors
We are a team of volunteers providing structure, lesson planning, food, stability, professional development for teachers and development classes for the whole community
To enable us to open our doors to night classes, we are planning to purchase a sustainable electrical system that reduces our requirements to be reliant on existing electric and gas supplies. The components are a small gas generator, an inverter with two batteries and a solar panel. This will secure the future of this school in all economic times
Our project mission is to uplift the community in any way possible. The electrical system will affect our project immediately by opening the doors to holding night classes, secure the salaries of the staff, provide developmental opportunities for the teachers and feed the children
We have night classes available for students willing to pay 200 RD$ per month for basic literacy, languages (English, Spanish and French), computer work and new forms of income eg:- gardening, sewing, music and much more. 8000 RD$ per month adds protein to the diet of children
We are presently encouraging volunteers to write a page on our website for the classes they might like to teach at our school
